TNA X-Division Champion Mustafa Ali def. Chris Bey (Non-Title)Bey facing Ali here made it pretty obvious that Ace Austin was going to become the number one contender later in the show. Despite that, they had a well-wrestled opener. The outcome was never in doubt, but it was a competitive warm-up for Ali ahead of his title defense at Under Siege. I'm all for Bey doing more on his own. ABC have been a terrific team, but what more can they do in the tag team ranks? Are they even still a part of Bullet Club?

The Infantry def. The OutrunnersThese two teams have had several interactions backstage on ROH TV (which were wisely recapped before this bout aired), so I appreciated that this had something of a story behind it. I still couldn't care less about The Outrunners, but I'm glad The Infantry continued to be featured following their failure to win the ROH World Tag Team Championship at Supercard of Honor. This lasted a little longer than I would have liked, but it was decent and had the right result.
Katana Chance and Kayden Carter def. Chelsea Green and Piper NivenUnless WWE completely ignores the Brand Split rules (which they're obviously known to do), this will be the last match these teams have with each other for a while with Green and Niven getting drafted to SmackDown this past week and Carter and Chance remaining on Raw. Chance and Carter have lost a lot more matches than they've done since dropping the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship earlier this year, so this was a nice win for them in what was a perfectly fine match.
The Patriarchy Attacked AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland and Price NanaChristian was not who I was expecting to challenge Strickland for the AEW World Championship, but he's a great choice. Of course, he's done nothing to deserve a shot as we haven't seen him since he lost the AEW TNT Championship to Adam Copeland in March and it goes against the completely-pointless power rankings, but I appreciate how the acknowledged how he still had bad blood with Strickland over Strickland eating the pinfall loss in their tag team match at All In last year. Christian isn't winning the title from Strickland, but I'm really looking forward to that match.
