Kickoff Show: NXT Heritage Cup Champion Nathan Frazer, Dragon Lee, Valentina Feroz and Yulisa Leon def. The Meta-Four (Noam Dar, Oro Mensah, Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson)For as little as I've cared about this feud in the last two months, I have to everyone involved credit for making this a fun time. It was perfectly positioned on the Kickoff show and all eight athletes had time to shine, including the inexperienced women. Frazer and Lee particularly shined thanks to their awesome offense. Hopefully this marked the end of the rivalry. Does the NXT Heritage Cup really need to be a thing?

NXT North American Champion Wes Lee def. Joe Gacy and Tyler Bate in a Triple Threat MatchLee has consistently delivered as North American champ as all of his title defenses have been fun. I don't think there can be any argument that he's had the best North American title reign of anyone so far. I feared he might drop the belt here to Gacy before he can break the record for longest reign, so I was happy he retained. This was a very enjoyable opener with all three guys looking great (yes, including Gacy, whose super skilled in the ring despite having a bad gimmick).
Kickoff Show: Chase U (Andre Chase, Duke Hudson and Thea Hail) and Tyler Bate def. Schism (Joe Gacy, Ava and The Dyad)I haven't cared about the crap with Chase U and Schism in the slightest, so it was wise to slot this on the pre-show and not on the main card. To their credit, it was fun and exceeded my expectations. The story has been about whether Hudson would do the right thing, and ultimately, he did. Chase U and Bate winning should put this storyline to rest, but time will tell. For those wondering, Raine was barely in the ring but was perfectly passable.
NXT North American Champion Wes Lee def. DijakFrom how excellent of an opener this was to the hot crowd, this gave me TakeOver vibes. Amazingly, Dijak wrestled in the opener for the NXT North American Championship on the last TakeOver that was held on the road (TakeOver: Portland in February 2020). This was undoubtedly the best bout he's had since then and I'm so happy he got a chance to show what he can do for a change. This was an awesome affair filled with cool counters and close nearfalls. I was hoping Dijak would capture the championship, but it was actually outside interference from Tony D'Angelo and Channing Lorenzo that cost him the win. Fingers crossed this gets revisited at some point.
